Ugliest House in America returns with an all new season on HGTV this summer. Ugliest House in America: Ugly in Paradise will premiere July 24. The series is hosted by Retta, a home design enthusiast, as well as a comedian and actress known for her roles in Parks and Recreation and Good Girls. During the new five-episode season, Retta will take a road trip to five stunning destinations to visit 15 unsightly homes nominated by their owners and share her hilarious reviews of the astonishingly bad designs, cringe-worthy layouts and severely outdated styles. Based on its ugly appearance, poor functionality and hideous design choices, one house will be crowned the “ugliest house in America” by HGTV, and the network will award its owners a showstopping $150,000 renovation completed by Alison Victoria, one of its top stars, during a special one-hour finale episode. 

Netflix has renewed Selling Sunset for two seasons, season six and season seven. Production on season six will begin later this summer. Set in the world of LA’s high-end real estate, Selling Sunset follows the city’s most successful female realtors who all work under the same roof at The Oppenheim Group, the #1 agency in the Hollywood Hills and the Sunset Strip. They work hard and play harder, as they compete with the cutthroat LA market… and each other. 

Selling The OC  is set to premiere on Netflix August 24. A fresh set of realtors square off, competing to establish themselves at The Oppenheim Group’s second office on the Orange County coast. Will the pressure prove too much for these agents to handle? The Selling Sunset spinoff series consists of eight episodes. 

Alex vs America returns to Food Network with season two July 31. In each episode, Alex simultaneously takes on three talented and brave chefs from across the United States – all experts in the same culinary specialty. Acclaimed chef Eric Adjepong hosts Alex and the competitors in two rounds of challenges that put their culinary specialty skills to the test as they attempt to defeat Alex for ultimate bragging rights and a cash prize.

Hulu’s Solar Opposites returns for season three July 13. The eleven episode season centers around a team of four aliens who are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo and Yumyulack only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry and Jesse love TV, junk food and fun stuff. In season three, this alien team strives to be less of a team and more of a family team.

Season four of What We Do in the Shadows premieres on FX July 12. The series follows four vampires, and their human familiar, who’ve “lived” together for hundreds of years. Season four continues to make the case for blood and comedy with more strange beasts, surprising guest stars and tap dancing than ever. And this time with just a touch of home renovation.

Apple TV+’s Trying returns for season three July 22. The eight episode third season picks up with Nikki and Jason waking up as new parents to two children they are still getting to know. Now they just have to keep hold of them, which proves to be trickier than they initially thought. Thrown straight into the parental deep end, Nikki and Jason’s relationships with each other and with their nearest and dearest are tested as they desperately try to navigate the ups and downs of parenting – while hanging onto their kids, and their sanity.

USA Network’s new competition series Snake in the Grass premieres August 1. Hosted by Bobby Bones, each episode will feature four players who are dropped into the wild for 36 hours with a chance to win $100,000. In order to win, the four must figure out which one of them is ‘the Snake’ – a saboteur who is secretly undermining the group every step of the way. Fan-favorite reality competition legends from Survivor, Big Brother, and Naked and Afraid will be among those competing in this real-life psychological thriller set in the central American jungle.

Outer Banks has cast Andy McQueen, Lou Ferrigno Jr. and Fiona Palomo as new characters in the upcoming third season of the Netflix series. McQueen will play Carlos Singh, a ruthless Caribbean Don on a treasure hunt of his own. Ferrigno Jr. is Ryan, Singh’s top security officer. Palomo will play Sofia, a self-identified pogue who forms a close connection to Rafe.

Showtime has ordered a comedy pilot, Seasoned, starring married actors and social media stars Mandy Patinkin and Kathryn Grody. The scripted comedy is inspired by the couple’s real life and relationship. The potential series follows the delightfully tumultuous relationship and life of a successful, gregarious, deeply committed, slightly insane married couple played by Patinkin and Grody – roles they’ve been rehearsing for the last 43 years. The source of their unending magic is the same as their unending woe: that they’ve stayed together all this time. 

Alyssa Jirrels, Toby Huss, Reno Wilson and Brian Goodman have joined the cast of the Paramount+ original series Fatal Attraction. They join Lizzy Caplan, Joshua Jackson and Amanda Peet. A deep-dive reimagining of the classic psychosexual thriller and ’80s cultural touchstone, the new series will explore fatal attraction and the timeless themes of marriage and infidelity through the lens of modern attitudes toward strong women, personality disorders and coercive control. 

James Lesure has been cast as a series regular in ABC’s upcoming new series The Rookie: Feds. The series stars Niecy Nash-Betts as the oldest FBI Academy recruit. The series is a spinoff of cop drama The Rookie which focuses on the oldest LAPD rookie. 

Raffi Barsoumian has joined Paramount+’s drama series SEAL Team as a series regular. He will play a Senior Chief that has expertise in the middle east. The series stars David Boreanaz, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley and Toni Trucks. Max Thieriot will also return as a series regular as he juggles his role on CBS’s Fire Country as well. 

Instant Dream Home premieres on Netflix August 10. Hosted by Danielle Brooks, the eight episode series is part home renovation show and part heist movie! A group of families are in for the surprise of their lives, with their homes about to be totally transformed and radically improved from ho-hum to OMG… in just one day! 

Paul Giamatti has joined the cast of HBO Max’s 30 Coins. The eight episode second season of the Spanish horror mystery series will premiere in 2023.

Jonathan Pryce, Rosalind Chao, Ben Schnetzer, and Eve Ridley have been cast in Netflix’s 3 Body Problem. They join Jovan Adepo, Eiza González, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani and Benedict Wong. The science fiction series comes from David Benioff and Dan Weiss. 

The Late Late Show with James Corden will air a special week of episodes from London June 27 through June 30 on CBS. President Joe Biden, Vin Diesel, Jamie Dornan, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Ed Sheeran, John Boyega, David Harbour, Alanis Morissette, Sam Smith and Tessa Thompson are among the epic lineup of guests set to appear. 

Netflix’s Designing Miami will premiere September 21. Miami’s two hottest designers aren’t just competitors, they’re also husband and wife. Eilyn and Ray Jimenez are making South Florida chicer one house at a time – she with a minimalist aesthetic and he with a more maximalist approach. Juggling the needs of their deep pocketed clients, their staffs of young designers, their close-knit families (some of whom are also contractors) and their relationship with each other isn’t easy, but this talented, stylish duo manages to pull it off while always maintaining a healthy sense of humor. 

Jason Alan Carvell will portray Malcolm X in season three of Epix’s Godfather Of Harlem. He replaces Nigél Thatch who played the role in the first two seasons. He will recur. 

Apple TV+ has ordered The Buccaneers, an eight episode series based on the unfinished book of the same name by Edith Wharton. Kristine Froseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag,Imogen Waterhouse, and Mia Threapleton will star in the series. 

HBO Max is developing a comedy series Church Girls from Megan Stalter. The potential series is inspired by Stalter’s life. Stalter appear in HBO Max’s comedy series Hacks.

The first season of The Doctor Blake Mysteries will premiere on Ovation TV July 7. The original, period murder mystery series follows the maverick town doctor Lucien Blake, an impulsive risk-taker who’s not afraid to upset the status quo. Buying Beverly Hills will premiere on Netflix this fall. Mauricio, his daughters Farrah and Alexia, and the talented group of agents highlight the high stakes world of luxury real estate in Los Angeles.

A new season of What on Earth premiered on Science Channel June 22. The new season reveals multiple political, environmental, and out-of-this-world secrets and phenomena per episode that would have stayed hidden forever if not for modern science. The new season of Strange Evidence will premiere June 30. Buy My House will air on Netflix this fall. Season two of The Bridge will premiere on HBO Max June 30.
