A woman is in the hospital Friday after a shooting in Wake Forest.
According to authorities in Wake Forest, a woman was shot around 6 p.m. on East Nelson Avenue. The town said the shooting was an isolated incident.
A spokesperson for the town said the woman had serious, life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting, but police said they are investigating and asked anyone with information to call them at 919-435-9610.
