HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A woman was shot by two unidentified men on a METRO bus on Wednesday in west Houston, METRO has confirmed.
Preliminary information released by the agency suggests that the woman, whose name has not been released to the public, was shot by two men shortly after they boarded the bus at around 2:32 p.m. near Walnut Bend at Richmond Avenue.
The victim immediately got off the bus and was taken to the hospital with severe injuries, according to officials.
The bus driver quickly stopped the bus and safely offloaded the rest of the passengers, who are said to have no reported injuries.
METRO advises everyone to avoid the area while Houston and METRO police investigate and search for the suspects.
