WASHINGTON — The WUSA9 Weather Team is monitoring a wet weather pattern the rest of this week and into the weekend. The wettest day by far will be Thursday. Here’s a look at the timing and impacts.
Scattered showers and storms, some with moderate downpours.
Thursday Sept. 25, 2025 all day.
Wet roads making for slower commuting. Soggy at the bus stop.
Rain gear. Extra time to get around.
After a relatively dry start to the week, rain chances are up across the D.C., Maryland and Virginia region. What follows is a stretch of unsettled weather that will linger through Sunday.
Plan for on and off showers Thursday. At least a stray shower or storm risk continues Friday, and an even better chance into the weekend. It will not rain continuously over the weekend so some plans are safe.
Bottom line: Keep your umbrellas close and check forecasts frequently, as timing, intensity and coverage of showers will vary day to day.
