West Seattle just got a whole lot tastier with the arrival of Cave 17, a new ghost kitchen that’s rapidly becoming the go-to destination for gourmet pasta enthusiasts. Located at 4611 36th Ave SW #2713, Seattle, WA 98126, this innovative eatery, which is part of the Distinguished Foods Kitchen, is redefining comfort food with its bold, high-quality dishes.
It was founded by three lifelong friends, Xavier Smith, Herman Buchanan, and Douglas Russell all graduates of O’Dea High school.
The trio share a deep love for pasta and their local community. Cave 17 operates on a simple yet profound philosophy: “friendship, flavor, and the dream of bringing people together through food”. While it functions as a ghost kitchen, specializing in takeout and delivery, the founders are dedicated to fostering a genuine sense of community, “one plate of pasta at a time.”

The Menu: A Symphony of Italian Flavors
Cave 17 offers a comprehensive menu designed to satisfy every craving, from light appetizers to decadent desserts. Start your culinary journey with their classic Caesar Salad, featuring crisp romaine, Parmesan, house-made garlic croutons, and a fresh lemon squeeze for $7.00. Or, dive into the warm, creamy Spinach Artichoke Dip, baked until golden and bubbly and served with house-made chips for $9.00. Don’t forget their irresistibly savory Garlic Rolls, available in a 3-pack for $6.00—perfect for sharing.
The heart of Cave 17’s offering lies in its gourmet pasta entrees, each served with a complimentary garlic roll. Highlights include the hearty Rigatoni Bolognese ($20.00), slow-cooked with beef and pork ragu, tomatoes, garlic, and a touch of red wine, finished with Parmesan and fresh basil. For those who enjoy a little kick, the Farfalle Alla Vodka ($18.00) offers bowtie pasta tossed in a creamy tomato vodka sauce with chili flakes and a splash of cream. Lighter options include the Penne Pesto ($17.00) with fresh basil, garlic, toasted pine nuts, and Parmesan, or the classic Fettuccine Alfredo ($15.00) with its silky ribbons in a rich, velvety Parmesan cream sauce.
No meal is complete without dessert. Indulge in the creamy sweetness of their Honey Vanilla Ice Cream ($6.00), the warmth of an Apple Pie with a buttery crumble topping ($8.00), or the rich, gooey Chocolate Lava Cake ($7.00). For a unique treat, try the Strawberry Nachos ($9.00), featuring crisp cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips layered with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. A variety of beverages, from Lemonade ($3.50) to Coca-Cola ($2.00) and Sparkling Water ($3.50), are also available.
Convenience at Your Fingertips
Cave 17 operates seven days a week, from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Customers can easily place orders online at caveseventeen.com for convenient delivery or pickup.
