Your weekend is here, Central Florida! Here’s a look at the news and what events are going on in the area.
By Saturday afternoon, high temperatures are expected between 87 and 92 degrees, with feel-like temperatures mainly in the lower end of middle 90s. Wind gusts between 20 mph and 25 mph out of the northeast will be possible between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Rain chances will continue to be isolated in nature and short-lived, as drier, more stable air is now predicted to linger over Central Florida through the weekend.
In regard to the tropics, tropical storm Gabrielle is still predicted to stay well away from the eastern seaboard of the United States. However, the potential for higher rip current risks or an increase in wave activity is still possible between Monday and Tuesday.
