Wednesday Night Live – free admission to three Uptown museums

The Levine Center for the Arts’ Wednesday Night Live takes place every Wednesday evening.

The three museums that are part of Levine Center for the Arts — Mint Museum Uptown, The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture — are free to visit every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

In addition, there will free entertainment programming at one of the museums or at Knight Theater.

Inktober Jam: A Digital Illustration Meetup

Inspired by the spirit of Inktober, this evening is a creative gathering designed to bring together illustrators of all levels—whether you’re a seasoned artist, hobbyist, or just starting out in the world of digital art. This event is part skill-building workshop, part community showcase, and part creative challenge.

The session will open with a Procreate tips & tricks crash course—perfect for beginners and a refresher for experienced illustrators. From there, the forum becomes an open creative exchange where participants can:

Share recent works and get feedback.
Highlight personal niches within digital illustration (character design, comics, fashion, concept art, etc.).
Learn from peers about techniques and workflows.
