Doja Cat is back with her latest single from the forthcoming album, Scarlet. “Demons” follows “Attention” and “Paint the Town Red.” It comes with a Christina Ricci–starring music video that Doja Cat directed with Christian Breslauer. Check it out below.

Scarlet is out September 22 (via Kemosabe/RCA). When Doja Cat revealed the album’s artwork and release date, fans noticed that the artwork resembled that of German metallic hardcore band Chaver’s album Of Gloom. Doja Cat has since shared new cover art.

Scarlet follows 2021’s Planet Her. Doja Cat is set to tour later this year. Prior to this album cycle, she delivered 2022’s “Vegas,” a track that appeared on the soundtrack of Baz Luhrmann’s film Elvis. In a since-deleted tweet in May, she noted that her previous two albums, 2019’s Hot Pink and Planet Her, “were cash-grabs and yall fell for it.”

See which three Doja Cat songs appeared on Pitchfork’s list of “The 100 Best Songs of 2021.” Plus, check out the new review of “Demons.”
