A Wake Forest day care worker faces child abuse charges after incidents involving two children.
Mallory Kemple, 23, was charged Monday with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse, according to police.
The Wake Forest Police Department began investigating after two children were injured at Wake Forest KinderCare, located at 1201 Friendship Chapel Road.
The incidents occurred in April and August and involved a 15-month-old and a 3-year-old child, according to arrest warrants.
The 15-month-old suffered bruising to the chest, ribs and back, and the 3-year-old suffered injuries to the back, the warrant states.
