Deer Park is home to a new urgent-care center.
Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care opened the new center this week at 504 Commacl Road, in a shopping center that also houses T-Mobile and GNC.
The new center comes several months after the opening of a new Northwell Health-GoHealth center in Lindenhurst in December.
“Healthy communities are created when residents have easy access to cost-effective, high-quality healthcare,” Vivek Taparia, market president of Northwell Health-GoHealth Urgent Care, said in a news release about the new center.
“We are thrilled to grow and meet the needs of Deer Park’s thriving community,” he added. “We are proud to have 16 locations in Suffolk County and look forward to providing more people with accessible care that is connected to their long-term health journey.”
The new Deer Park center marks Northwell Health-GoHealth’s 57th location in the New York metropolitan region. Additional centers are expected to open later this year, including in Lake Success, Williston Park and Long Island City, as well as a second location in Forest Hills.
The Deer Park center offers treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries, on-site X-ray services, COVID-19 testing and flu vaccines. Healthcare providers here can also prescribe and fill COVID-19 oral antiviral treatments if clinically indicated after evaluation. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
The center also provides patients with a direct connection to Northwell Health’s network of healthcare experts.
