House Republicans, who will hold a slim majority in the next Congress, have warned the Biden administration to expect far tougher oversight of the extensive military assistance provided to Ukraine in the war with Russia, The Washington Post reports.

Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelensky solidified his Grain From Ukraine initiative, announcing that his nation would send produce to some of the world’s poorest countries. The program will send 60 ships’ worth of food in the first half of next year, Zelensky said at a news conference. The countries receiving aid could include Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan and others, he said on Telegram, with each ship providing food for about 90,000 people.
