A man from London has been charged with bringing class A drugs into Jersey.

Andrew Kyriakou was stopped by Jersey Customs and Immigration officers as he arrived in the island via ferry on 12 July.

Around 70 grams of cocaine, with a street value of around £15,400, was seized.

The 55-year-old appeared in the Magistrate’s Court last week and will appear in Jersey’s Royal Court in October.
