Two elderly pedestrians were killed in separate Brooklyn crashes — including one who was run down by driver who did not remain on the scene, police said Thursday.

Both victims were just paces from their homes when they were struck, cops said.

Margie Salter, 91, was crossing Rockaway Parkway near Skidmore Ave. in Canarsie when she was struck by the driver of a southbound light-colored sedan about 6:50 p.m. Dec. 29, cops said.

The nonagenarian was thrown onto the pavement, suffering a massive head injury, cops said. The driver of the sedan never stopped but cops are not yet certain if the motorist knew they hit someone.

Medics rushed Salter to Brookdale University Hospital, where she died Sunday.

Cops are still looking for the driver.

A week before Salter was hit, a Hyundai Elantra driver fatally struck 85-year-old Norman Fruchter near 68th St. and Bliss Terrace in Bay Ridge about 10:15 p.m. Dec. 22, cops said.

Medics rushed Fruchter to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he died Wednesday, cops said.

The Elantra driver was reversing down 68th St. when he hit Fruchter, who was trying to cross the street, cops said.

The 42-year-old man behind the wheel of the Elantra remained at the scene. No criminal charges were filed.
