Travelport has renewed a multi-year agreement with United Airlines that beginning this month will enable the global distribution system provider to provide United’s New Distribution Capability content, Travelport announced Wednesday.

The company launched a pilot “early adopter” program with United several months ago for “simplified access” to United’s NDC content and servicing capabilities, which in August will be rolled out to all Travelport agency customers in the United States and Europe, the Middle East and Africa, allowing those agencies to search, compare, book and service NDC bookings, including modifications and cancellations, according to Travelport. Access for agency customers in Latin America and the rest of the world will follow “in the coming weeks.”

In addition, agents that use the Travelport Plus GDS will have access to a “wide range” of United’s content, rates and offerings all in one place, enhanced by the Content Curation Layer feature, which uses artificial intelligence and machine-learning capabilities to provide faster search responses, more relevant results and greater accuracy, according to Travelport.

Travelport is the third GDS to provide United’s NDC content, following Amadeus and Sabre.
