We’re obsessed with Trader Joe’s desserts, and it’s hard not to see why. However, when talking about the grocer’s stellar sweet treats, we’d be remiss not to mention their baked goods section, full of fresh breads and delicious pastries.
Lucky for us, a new baked dessert is now gracing the shelves and we can’t wait to dig into it all summer long. Spotted by Instagram account @trader_joes_treasure_hunt, the grocer is now selling a Lemon Flavored Mini Sheet Cake for $5.99 per cake, although one commenter on the post did mention that their store was selling it for $4.99.
The lemon cake is both moist and rich in flavor. It’s topped with a lemon cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with lemon zest. It’s no secret that citrus is ideal for the warm-weather months, so this new cake would make the perfect cap to any spring picnic, summer barbecue, or even just as a sweet and fresh addition to your afternoon tea.
Commenters on the post expressed their joy over the new treat and shared plans to pick it up for themselves during their next grocery trip. “Adds to list,” wrote one commenter. “Definitely can’t wait to try this,” said another.
