Tyler Perry is an American producer, actor, writer, director, and comedian. Tyler is rated as the highest-paid man in entertainment, earning up to $130 million each year. Tyler was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and has three siblings. He’s discipline and punishment were so much that it would be considered as child abuse.
According to Perry his father’s answer to everything was to “beat it out of you” In order to escape his fathers beating, he went so far as to attempt suicide. He was raised as a Christian, his mother always took him to church each week, and anytime he went he felt content and refuge. Perry changed his first name fro Emmitt to Tyler in order to distance himself from his father, who he later found out was not his biological father.
