Travel technology supplier Thomalex has launched an AI-powered tool that enables travel management companies to fulfill travel requests via email inquiries, the company announced.

With the tool, TMCs can respond to traveler emails automatically. Emails do not need to follow a specific format, and the tool can pick out such information as a traveler’s destination, time range of travel and whether they need hotel or car bookings and respond with three offers each for flight, hotel and car, according to Thomalex. The tool bases those offers on a traveler’s profile and corporate travel policies.

Once they receive the offers, travelers can reply with which options they want, and the AI system creates the reservation via API and sends a confirmation back to the traveler. The system “not only simplifies the booking process but also enhances efficiency and accuracy,” according to Thomalex CEO Rastko Ilic.

The capabilities stem from Thomalex’s integration of automation technology from Aimendo, announced earlier this year. Ilic said a TMC client has been testing in it beta but did publicly identify the TMC.
