Ryan Moy, owner of the Rollin’ Fresh sushi burrito chain, plans to open this restaurant specializing in seafood “pan roasts” (a creamy seafood stew served with rice and bread) in the forthcoming food hall Flock in late May. In addition to Moy’s family pan roast recipe, the spot will also offer oysters, fish and chips, and crab bread.

Mere months after opening two new locations in Multnomah Village and Beaverton and two weeks after owner Micah Camden reporting that business was flourishing, the local ramen chain has suddenly announced that all of its locations will shutter permanently on Monday, April 29, citing inflation and the impact of the pandemic as factors contributing to the closure. The business’s parent company MMMco. previously filed for bankruptcy in February.

I was today years old when I learned that Zuckercreme is named for a regional sugar cream pie popular in Indiana.
