Hello, readers! As an editor’s note, I’m thrilled to announce that The Pop Blog made it to Feedspot’s Top 50 Asian Music Blogs. That’s a challenging one to achieve, especially since for the past few months, we’ve covered more film than music.
Because of this accolade, I’m more motivated to increase the music content on the blog. I’ll try to feature every artist or publicist who contacts us for new releases and any music news.
To be honest, it’s tough writing about music, and I hardly get any industry insider news that’s beyond a single or album release. That’s not to say that we want gossipy content or anything like that; that’s not The Pop Blog’s brand. It’s more like music data analysis. I have yet to get press releases from Spotify, which I would love to do so, especially their music market research updates that could help me produce more thoughtful music trends and analysis.
But as promised, we will be more proactive about writing about Music from hereon, especially after being given a spot at the Top 50 Asian Music Blogs and remaining to be one of the 15 Best Music Blogs and Websites in the Philippines without having to use promotion, but just by our Music content itself. Stay tuned for more exciting content from the blog.
