Terrible Dating Advice: Why You’re the Problem – 33000Dates Blog

1. The Biggest Red Flag in Dating Might Be You

Not because you’re a bad person.Because self-awareness is rare and most people think they’re the exception.

Everybody has a list of red flags. Almost nobody has a list of their own.

2. Why Smart People Make Terrible Dating Decisions

The more intelligent someone is, the better they become at explaining away obvious problems.

Intelligence doesn’t protect you from bad choices. It helps you justify them.

3. Your Type Is Probably the Reason You’re Single

Maybe the problem isn’t the dating pool.

4. Stop Looking for Chemistry

This one will drive people crazy.

Some of the best marriages I’ve seen started with:“I wasn’t sure at first.”

Chemistry can be a spark. It can also be a warning sign.

5. Why Successful Women Get Terrible Dating Advice

Everyone tells them to “play smaller,” “be less intimidating,” or “let him lead.”  Nonsense.

You know what?  I do not even understand what that sentence above means and I wrote it.

The issue usually isn’t success.

It’s how success shows up in the room.

Confidence attracts. Performance repels.

6. The Person Who Ghosted You Probably Did You a Favor

But if someone disappears after two dates, they just gave you valuable information for free.

Rejection is information, not punishment.

7. Most People Don’t Want Love. They Want Certainty.

Unfortunately, that’s not how love works.

You’re not dating. You’re trying to eliminate uncertainty.

8. Why Your Friends Are Keeping You Single

This one has me written all over it.   I cannot stress this one enough.

I’ve been hearing the same BS for 35 years.

The blind leading the blind isn’t a dating strategy.

9. Nobody gets everything. The happiest people know that.

That list of 10 must haves you present to me.  Take numbers 4-10 and put a big X.

10. The Real Problem With Modern Dating Isn’t Men or Women

Everyone wants to blame a gender.

Both sides think they’re shopping.

Very few are asking:“Would a great partner choose me?”

The market isn’t broken. Expectations are.

Click either one above…or both.

Just remember:  I have been having these conversations since before Google, dating apps, and social media existed.    I’ve developed a pretty thick skin…and a healthy appreciation for spirited debate!

Dating isn’t luck.  It’s strategy.
