Teen sought after crashing stolen car with children inside in Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are searching for a teen boy who they said stole a car with four children inside and later crashed it just half a mile away.

According to police, the incident unfolded just before 11 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, outside King Laundromat located on the 6700 block of Castor Avenue.

Police said a woman had parked her Honda CR-V outside the laundromat with the engine running, and four children, ages between 2 months and 13 years old, were still inside.

Moments later, police said a teen suspect entered the vehicle and drove away with the children still inside. The suspect ended up crashing the car a half-mile away on Comly Street.

Police said the suspect, who they believe is between 13 and 14 years old, immediately jumped out of the vehicle and ran. Now they are still looking for him.

According to the police, the children inside the vehicle are all okay.
