Teen party crashers nabbed in fatal Brooklyn event space stabbing

A 17-year-old party crasher has been arrested for murder for a stabbing at a Brooklyn event space family celebration where one man was killed and two others wounded, police said Monday.

The teen is charged with murder, attempted murder and weapons possession. His name was not released by the NYPD because he is a juvenile.

An accused getaway driver, Joan Chicaiza, 19, was arrested for reckless endangerment, menacing and weapons possession, police said.

The fatal confrontation sparked off at a family party held .

The two suspects showed up with liquor and crashed a family gathering at the event space on Knickerbocker Ave. near Thames St. in East Williamsburg 3 a.m. Saturday, cops said. They started acting up, sparking a knife fight, according to police.

After the melee, Chicaiza sped off with the accused killer in a GMC Arcadia, which police tracked down a short time later near Chicaiza’s home in Glendale, Queens, cops said.

The two suspects, along with two other people, were taken into custody a short time later when they returned to the vehicle. It wasn’t clear if the two others will face charges.

Police said neither suspect has a prior arrest record.

During the knife fight, Diego Ramirez, 24, was fatally stabbed in the neck while a 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both stabbed in the upper body.

Ramirez and the older survivor were rushed by medics to Elmhurst Hospital, where Ramirez died.

The younger survivor made it on his own to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center. Both survivors were in stable condition.
