Calum Scott has done it again. He has given us another perfect love song to prove that romance is very much alive and thriving and we’re living for it! ‘My World’ is all we could’ve asked for and more when it comes to a good love song. Of course, we expected nothing less from the man who gave us ‘Lighthouse‘ only a few months ago.
‘My World’ is a soft ballad that combines piano, strings and Calum Scott’s lovely voice into an epic love song. In Calum’s own words, “‘My World’ is a new way of saying ‘I love you’ and we couldn’t agree more. Don’t believe us? Check out the song here and the lyric video below:
As soon as the track starts, we hear Calum voicing his devotion loud and clear with the lyrics “I talk in my sleep every night, and think of the wrongs I’d make right, so I can give you my all undivided…”. And we’d say that sets the tone for the rest of the song, which is filled with hopeful and uplifting feelings translated beautifully into words. Even the instrumentals of the song reflects this optimistic vibe of ‘My World.’
And could we possibly say about the chorus? “I’d pull down the moon, I’d go to space / To the end of the universe, I wouldn’t hesitate / Just to make you see that you got all of me, and you are my world” are simply the most romantic lyrics we have ever heard! ‘My World’ is the kind of love song that makes us want to dance around the kitchen with our love in the middle of the night and we mean that as the highest of compliments.
