  • Greg Laurie’s Historic Harvest Crusade at Utah Valley University Draws Thousands, Honors Charlie Kirk

The one-night event, called “Hope for America,” aimed to bring hope to a community shocked by Charlie Kirk’s assassination

Thousands gathered at Utah Valley University’s UCCU Center for an unforgettable evening of worship, inspiration and community during the latest Harvest Crusade hosted by Pastor Greg Laurie. The one-night event, themed “Hope for America,” featured powerful performances from award-winning Christian artists Chris Tomlin and Phil Wickham.

Originally planned for 2027, the Harvest Crusade was hastened by the tragic Sept. 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk on the campus of Utah Valley University. “When we heard of Charlie Kirk’s assassination,” Laurie said, “we immediately reached out to pastors in Utah to ask how we could support them. They said, ‘Come sooner. Our community is hurting.’”

The Harvest Crusade brought together attendees from across the region, as well as 1000 volunteers, with 67 churches in surrounding areas serving as remote overflow sites. In addition, hundreds of media partners streamed the event nationally, including over 600 radio stations.

The evening opened with a moving tribute video honoring the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk, setting the tone for a night centered on hope and bold faith.

“Despite this tragedy, God has done amazing things around our nation and people are asking questions. . . . It was like a wakeup call,” Laurie said. “This is your moment tonight. This is your wakeup call tonight. Don’t let it slip by.”

The event concluded with an invitation for attendees to make a personal commitment to faith as artist Phil Wickham sang “Oh Come to the Altar.” By the end of the evening, over 2,100 people had made professions of faith in person and online.

“I was there at UVU on [Sept. 10] and witnessed the murder,” said one attendee. “Seeing the UCCU arena filled with people who were hungry to heal was amazing. The altar call broke me with joyful tears… Healed and peaceful are two words I now identify with.”

    Event Highlights:

    • Venue Attendance: 7,800

    • Livestream Views: 210,000

    • Professions of Faith: 2,100+

    • Participating churches: 67

“Our one-night event at UVU in Utah was an astounding success! The people were so open, worshipful, and responsive to the gospel. Many came to Christ,” Laurie said.

The Harvest Crusade at Utah Valley University marks another milestone in Pastor Greg Laurie’s over-35-year ministry of large-scale evangelistic events. Harvest Crusades are large-scale evangelistic events with a worldwide history spanning the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Since 1990, more than six million people have attended Harvest Crusades in person, in addition to the millions more that have participated online. • Greg Laurie Will Host Harvest Crusade Event at Utah Valley University After Charlie Kirk Tragedy

    [ad_1]

Greg Laurie to hold special, one-night Harvest Crusade event called, “Hope for America” Sunday, November 16, 2025 at site of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.

Pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie has announced an upcoming Harvest Crusade called “Hope for America” at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Sunday, November 16, 2025. The one-night event aims to bring hope directly to a community reeling from the September 10 assassination of Charlie Kirk, a prominent Christian leader.

“We’re going to go to that place of darkness, and we’re going to turn on the radiant light of Jesus Christ and proclaim the gospel that Charlie believed,” Laurie said. “What was meant for evil will be turned to good.”

For over 35 years, Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie have served as a unique and effective approach to evangelism, spanning the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Since 1990, more than six million people have attended Harvest Crusades in person, and an additional five million have participated online. Cumulatively, more than 1 million individuals have made professions of faith in Jesus Christ through the Harvest Crusades and their other outreaches. Each crusade combines worship, preaching and community engagement to share the gospel with diverse audiences.

For two years, Harvest Ministries has been collaborating with 150 local churches in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area to bring a Harvest Crusade to their community. Following the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk, these church partners requested plans be accelerated. “They said, ‘Our community is devastated, and we need the hope that only Jesus can bring,’” Laurie shared. The event will be prepared and executed in just six weeks.

Harvest Ministries is also partnering with major media outlets to encourage global participation. The Harvest Crusade will also be livestreamed at harvest.org, YouTube, Facebook, and on the Harvest+ app, available on all app platforms, allowing viewers worldwide to participate in real-time.

In preparation, Harvest Ministries launched a prayer initiative called the “3:20 Prayer Calendar,” inspired by Ephesians 3:20 which says God “is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Participants are encouraged to pray each day at 3:20 AM/PM leading up to the Harvest Crusade for the event’s success.

“We’re asking God to do something big,” Laurie said.

  • Greg Laurie Reports 10,000 Baptized After 3rd Annual ‘Jesus Revolution Baptism’ at Historic Location

    [ad_1]

“We Never Saw Anything Like This,” Said Pastor and Evangelist Greg Laurie.

Harvest Ministries, led by pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie, announced an extraordinary milestone-10,000 baptisms in just the past two years, through church and mass baptism events. In keeping with similar events in 2023 and 2024, this year’s 3rd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism was held at Pirate’s Cove in Newport Beach, California on Saturday, August 16.

This same site was used for baptisms during the Jesus Movement in the 1960s and ‘70s and was depicted in the 2023 Lionsgate film, “Jesus Revolution.”

People gathered from across the country with lines that stretched from the beach, climbed over the rocks and wrapped along the seawall. On Sunday, Laurie recounted to his congregation how one attendee, a truck driver from Utah, watched the “Jesus Revolution” film and traveled to Saturday’s event to make his public profession of faith.

“Even during the peak of the Jesus Movement 50 years ago, we never saw anything like this,” Laurie said. “God is clearly at work, and I believe we’re seeing true signs of revival.”

Notably, this event occurred less than one month after the Harvest Crusade at Angel Stadium, which drew a capacity crowd of over 45,000 and featured more than 6,500 professions of faith on July 19-marking one of the most powerful responses in the event’s 35-year history.

    Milestone Baptism Events:

    • July 2023 – The 1st Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism at Pirate’s Cove welcomed over 4,500 baptisms.

    • July 2024 – The 2nd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism at Pirate’s Cove contributed over 2,000 more baptisms.

    • August 2025 – The 3rd Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism at Pirate’s Cove saw over 2,100 baptisms.

    • Since 2023 – Harvest Christian Fellowship, founded by Greg Laurie, has seen over 1,700 baptisms within its congregation, bringing the cumulative baptisms to over 10,000.

    About the Events

Begun in 2023, the Annual Jesus Revolution Baptism is a mass baptism event that embraces both the heritage and imagery of the historic Jesus Movement of the 1960s and ‘70s, depicted in the 2023 “Jesus Revolution” film.

  • Capacity Crowd of 45,000 Attends Greg Laurie’s Evangelistic Crusade, Packing Out Angel Stadium in California

    [ad_1]

Harvest Crusade Reaches Venue Capacity for Second Consecutive Year

Pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie’s annual Harvest Crusade concluded this past Saturday, July 19, with a capacity crowd of over 45,000 at Angel Stadium. With an additional 200,000 online viewers, the one-night event also saw more than 6,500 people make professions of faith, marking one of the most powerful responses in its 35-year history. This marks the second consecutive year the stadium has been packed out for the event.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, or if you’re rich or you’re poor,” Laurie told those in attendance. “Your life feels like one long scroll, and no matter how far you swipe, you’re still empty inside. What you’re looking for isn’t found on a screen or an AI voice. It’s found in a living God who has a plan and a purpose for your life tonight.”

The event, which celebrated 35 years of powerful, faith-filled outreach, garnered widespread support. More than 500 media outlets across the nation partnered with Harvest to broadcast and livestream the crusade, significantly expanding its reach. Additionally, 260 Southern California churches provided essential mobilization and volunteers, highlighting a strong community effort.

The evening also included performances from top Christian artists Chris Tomlin, Brooke Ligertwood, Cody Carnes, Kari Jobe Carnes and We The Kingdom.

Brooke Ligertwood led worship as thousands responded to Laurie’s gospel invitation, walking onto the field in a heartfelt moment of commitment to faith in Jesus Christ.

In what Laurie called a “first in Harvest history” at Angel Stadium, the fire marshal stopped attendees from walking out onto the field when it was at capacity. “I respect the fire marshal,” Laurie updated the audience. “They’re just doing their job. But the good news is you don’t have to be on the field to accept Christ. You can do it wherever you are.”

Chris Tomlin, often called America’s worship leader, concluded the event with performances of popular songs including “Good Good Father” and “How Great Is Our God,” accompanied by a spectacular fireworks show celebrating the new professions of faith.

“ I never get tired of preaching the gospel,” Laurie said, reflecting on the mission of these events. “When I step into the pulpit at a Harvest Crusade, my job is to throw the seed of the gospel. God’s job is to convert. Our objective is to reach unexpected people in unexpected places with an unexpected message.”
