A harrowing situation on Southwest Flight 2235 was captured on video. The plane, which was originally scheduled to fly from Dallas to Los Angeles, was forced to make an emergency landing in New Mexico due to an unruly passenger.
According to witnesses, the situation unfolded shortly after the plane was airborne. The ordeal was so frightening that that they feared the worst and were “preparing their final goodbyes” when a man tried to pry open the cockpit door.

In the video, passengers and flight attendants jump to restrain the man, shouting at him, “stop” and “calm down.”

The man was secured in zip ties and met by law enforcement when in landed in Albuquerque. Unfortunately, the weather was stormy and turbulent, adding to the confusion.
The FBI has confirmed they are investigating the incident.
Southwest Airlines released the following statement: “The flight diverted due to a situation with a passenger. Nothing is more important to Southwest than the Safety of our Customers and Employees.”
