RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Many communities across Central NC saw snowflakes this afternoon and now the weather threat is black ice as temperatures drop overnight.
As colder air moves in this evening, any wet spots or puddles on roads could refreeze, leading to black ice and slippery conditions on roads and sidewalks tonight into Monday morning.
However, temperatures are forecast to climb above freezing by mid to late morning Monday.
Looking Ahead
Another blast of cold Arctic air is set to arrive early next week, with wind chills dropping into the teens on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
