HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly crash in Deer Park on Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the wreck happened in the 1900 block of Independence Parkway S. and involved multiple vehicles.

The sheriff said one person was killed in the crash.

SkyEye flew over the scene, showing at least two heavily damaged vehicles.

It’s unclear at this point what led up to the incident.

Gonzalez said traffic from Highway 225 and from the ferry is being turned around, so drivers in the area should expect some delays.
