Syracuse uses code violations to close 13 businesses selling illegal marijuana products – Medical Marijuana Program Connection

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse has shut down 13 businesses that were illegally selling marijuana-related products, according to a city official.

The shops were closed because they violate building codes, fire codes or zoning to operate as retail spaces, said Syracuse code enforcement director Jake Dishaw.

“They legally can’t sell anything, let alone cannabis,” Dishaw said.
