FORT WORTH, Texas — A suspected drunk driver has been arrested in Fort Worth after a police chase that sent bystanders to hospitals Saturday night, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

Officials tell WFAA that the incident started when officers were doing a traffic stop on University Drive and Bailey Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. Police believed the driver they were trying to stop was intoxicated.

The suspect, who jail records identify as 24-year-old Andrew Guerra, allegedly didn’t stop for police, so officers went after him.

During the chase, Fort Worth police said the suspect struck two pedestrians and another vehicle. The chase eventually ended and the driver was taken into custody.

The two pedestrians were sent to hospitals along with the people inside the vehicle that was hit during the chase. Police said everyone is expected to recover.
