Police found the 22-year-old suspect on Saturday and arrested him for the shooting that killed one man and wounded two others.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — The suspect in the shooting at Vancouver Mall on Halloween night has been arrested, according to Vancouver police.

Officers received information that the shooter was inside a Vancouver residence on Saturday. With assistance from SWAT, the suspect surrendered.

He’s identified as Travis Ward, 22. Ward is charged with first-degree murder and two counts of first-degree assault.

“Detectives wish to thank everyone that submitted information and tips that assisted with this case,” the Vancouver Police Department said, adding that most of the tips came through Facebook.

Witnesses said the shooter was wearing a Halloween mask when he opened fire during a trick-or-treat event with families at the mall on Thursday night.

Earlier in the day, detectives said they wanted to speak with two females who were seen at the mall around the time of the shooting and may have further information. Police said they were cooperative with detectives, and neither are considered suspects or persons of interest.
