On Monday, the National Weather Service in Norton, Mass officially confirmed four tornadoes touched down over the weekend. They essentially came from the same storm, and perhaps the swirling mass of wind, but they touched down in four separate places, and each counts as its own separate tornado.
Paxton, Holden, Berlin and Stow all saw clusters of damage along the path. A final report is due Tuesday on exact locations, path length/width, and duration.
Our pattern is much quieter in the days ahead. Sun dominates Tuesday, but a few showers are possible Wednesday as a front (yes, the same one that touched off the storms Saturday) edges closer to the Commonwealth and brings in a bit of wet weather.
The bigger issue will be the sharp fall in temperatures as we sink back into the low and mid-60s. The only measurable rain is expected on the Cape and Islands, where up to a quarter inch may fall.
Cool, dry weather continues into the weekend, with another chance (slim) at a few afternoon showers on Sunday.
Have a great week!
