Frantically googling “the best summer pants for men” right now might sound a little premature, but it’s actually very timely. Think about it: Do you really want to be sweating up a storm in heavyweight denim or beefy wool because you don’t have a clue what to wear in this anything-goes climate? Probably not. Sure, shorts are a great option for letting that cool breeze buffet your quads, but some people actually prefer the coverage of a full-length pant. When the sun is dead set on roasting every inch of your skin, your long-legged bottoms can be a form of sartorial sunscreen, not to mention another arrow in your style quiver. Also, some of us would rather keep our bare skin from making contact with the outside world (and the seats on the subway).

If you’re shvitzing at the mere thought of any fabric draping below your knees, don’t worry. The two main factors to warm weather pants-wearing success are simple: stick to loose silhouettes and lightweight fabrics….and then maybe walk a little slower. But because the season won’t last forever (fall is on the distant horizon, we hear), and there are just too many rad summer pants for men to sift through, we did you the favor of picking out close to two dozen of the best.
