A substitute teacher filmed quitting her job in distress on TikTok after being ‘taunted’ by students has been banned from returning to the school in North Carolina.

The woman, who has not been identified, looked distressed as she started to pack up her belongings before storming out of the classroom yelling ‘I’m just a stupid old white lady’.

It is unclear exactly what sparked the outburst at Scotland High School, but two videos have been posted online of the teacher ‘being made to leave’.

The substitute teacher has now been banned from returning to the school by executives and was escorted to the school office by security once she left the classroom.

Initially pupils can be heard laughing, before a male voice says ‘woah isn’t no way’ as she continues on her outburst.

A woman can be heard saying ‘just come out’ as another remember of staff wearing a lanyard appears to stand in the classroom watching it unfold.

The teacher said: ‘And people are laughing, I’m gonna go I don’t even care if I don’t get paid today. I’m just a stupid old white lady, that’s all.

‘Yeah do whatever you want to do I don’t care. You’re gonna do it anyway.’

‘I’m walking, I’m walking right out the door. I won’t ever be back.’

A second video shows a student appearing to argue with the teacher, saying ‘sit down somewhere’.

She says ‘see this is why I won’t be back’, as more students then laugh in a different angle of the classroom.

Chief of staff Michael Riles told DailyMail.com: ‘The substitute was giving instruction and a few students were talking. The teacher raised her voice and was making erratic comments as seen in the snippet footage.

‘School security was called to the room and another staff member entered the hallway to assist as both report they could only hear the substitute yelling.

‘Upon entering the room, school security found all students seated and not being disruptive, which was confirmed through other staff who responded to provide support.

‘School security and staff offered to provide support for student misbehavior, but the substitute did not identify any student and continued to yell and walked out of the classroom.

‘The substitute displayed similar behavior earlier in the day and upon walking out directed towards school office staff and departed.

‘I cannot provide details regarding employment however, I can affirm that the substitute was removed from that school’s list on the afternoon of the incident.’

Many teachers have spoken out in solidarity with the woman, saying that ‘bullies come in all ages’ as well as blaming it on parents for controlling their children.

One said: ‘They literally brag about making teachers cry or quit like it’s cute or something.’
