Get ready to pull out your animal print, put on your scrunchies, and pop your Spice World VHS in the VCR… 1990s girl group Spice Girls have beamed us back to Spice World! 1997 was a wild time in girl world. Sleepovers were filled with snacks, glitter, and sing-alongs to one of the most influential and iconic pop albums. The biggest decision? Which Spice Girl were you going to be?

It was definitely one of those “you had to be there” moments, but if you weren’t, here are our top three picks to serve as your passport into Spice World.

1. ‘Spice Up Your Life’

Besides ‘Wannabe,’ which was featured on their debut album, ‘Spice Up Your Life’ is probably one of their most prominent tracks. Lyrics that seemed like absolute nonsense to you as a kid were matched with the futuristic-themed music video style popular at the time, making it a certified hit. Even if you still haven’t quite mastered the lyrics after all these years, you can’t help but shimmy shimmy shimmy!

2. ‘Stop’

We’d guess any former Spice Girls fan can still do this routine on command. Another track stuck in our heads for over two decades, ‘Stop’ is iconic for its memorability, its rhythm, and of course the fashion! We don’t know about you but we can’t hear someone yell, “Stop!” without singing, “Thank you very much” under our breath.

3. ‘Never Give Up On The Good Times’

In honor of the 25-year anniversary, Spice Girls finally dropped a music video for arguably the most underrated (should have been a single) song off the album. This disco-charged tune has never failed to make a Spice Girl fan want to get up and boogie and we’re happy it’s getting the love it deserves! The video is filled with behind-the-scenes moments, rehearsals, live performance footage, and clips from Spice World the movie.

Speaking of, we feel we can’t continue to mention this movie without telling all of you to give it a watch. If you’re into campy dialogue, alien encounters, over-the-top characters, and Elton John then this film is everything you’ve ever dreamt of! Also released in 1997, it was the perfect complement to the album’s first release, which turned into a fever dream for 90’s kids everywhere!
