The Staten Island man who dumped a mortally wounded gunshot victim at a Staten Island hospital has been busted for the killing, police said Friday.

The victim, Timothy Gibbs, 36, was initially believed to have just a puncture wound in his upper right arm, but doctors soon determined he had a bullet lodged in his chest. He died a short time later.

The suspect, Masud Khan, 30, and a woman had dropped off the unconscious man at Staten Island University Hospital South on the night of Oct. 19 and then drove off, according to cops.

Khan was arrested Thursday and charged with murder, manslaughter and gun possession.

Police said he had been in an argument with Gibbs, though further details were not immediately available.

The woman is still being sought.

Gibbs, who lived in Annadale, had 12 prior arrests, including for grand larceny, assault and robbery. Khan lives in Eltingville and also has an arrest record, police said.
