SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Springfield Lodge of Elks has announced that Cynthia Miller of Longmeadow, has been named 2024 Irish Elk of the year.

Miller traces her Irish heritage from three generations back to her great grandfather, Thomas Miller. She has been part of the Springfield Elks since 2010 and has been an active member of the local Irish Community.

Miller told 22News she’s honored to receive this award. “I’m just humbled and proud to be representing the Springfield Elks Lodge number 61 in the St. Patrick’s Parade and it’s just a shout out to all the Irish out there…”

Miller is now looking forward to the Holyoke St. Patrick’s Parade where she says she can’t wait for everyone to see their float.
