CHICAGO — A beloved Thai restaurant on the North Side of Chicago is closing after 20 years of business, the owner said.

The owner, Dew Suriyawan posted on social media that the restaurant’s last day of operation will be Tuesday, April 16.

“We’re immensely grateful for the support and memories shared with all for you. Thank you for being a part of our journey,” Suriyawan said in a post.

According to Block Club Chicago, the building’s landlord did not want to renew Spoon Thai’s lease.

“We’re immensely grateful for the support and memories shared with all for you. Thank you for being a part of our journey.”
