I will preface that this I was looking at this for about a week before I bought it and was like man this game looks like trash. SOLELY because I don’t think the Steam trailer that plays does this game justice. After playing for a couple hours I straight up love this game. It’s All parts Silly AND Technical at the same time. A lot of Melee tech is in this game but much easier to pull off because of the buffer system but also just generally more fluid (feels like a healthy mix of Melee movement with Smash 4/Brawl Fluidity)
As a competitive Melee player, in my opinion, this is the most fun and best feeling smash-likes i’ve played overall, in parallel with rivals of aether. It’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious, it’s super responsive, it has ridiculous combos, stupid speed. the only thing i can criticize is the netcode which is awful. Deserves to come back after the failure of Multversus and Nicktoons brawl. The graphics might turn some people off but underneath is a game with a lot of polish and humor.
