Shots fired during attempted carjacking in Mount Vernon

Tom Kaminski reports from NewsCopter 7 over the scene in Mount Vernon.

MOUNT VERNON, New York (WABC) — Shots were fired during an attempted carjacking in Mount Vernon on Friday morning.

It happened on Pearl Street near the Metro-North Railroad just before 6 a.m.

NewsCopter 7 was flying over the scene where there was a large police response.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured.

Police are searching for at least two suspects.
