A shooting near White Center that sent a male to the hospital led to a brief lockdown at Cascade Middle School and Evergreen High School on Monday afternoon. The King County Sheriff released this information

“At 2:26 PM, the King County Sheriff’s Office 911 Communications Center received a call about a shooting around the location of SW 114th Street between 10th and 11 AVE SW.  Upon the arrival of KCSO deputies a male victim was located with a gunshot wound to his back.  That male was since taken to a local area hospital for his injuries.  I do not have the name of the hospital nor the extent of injuries.  Local schools were put into lockdown while KCSO Deputies, along with K9 and Guardian 1 searched for the suspect(s).  No suspect(s) were located after an intense search.  Currently KCSO Major Crimes is investigating the incident and what led up to the incident.  This incident did not occur on school grounds.

If you have any information about this incident, please contact 206-263-2090 or email: [email protected].”
