DAYTON, Texas (KTRK) — No injuries were reported after a large fire broke out at a recycling plant in Dayton on Tuesday night, according to officials.
The Liberty County of Emergency Management said that the fire is still active at the Gulf Inland Logistics Park. Fire crews with the Dayton Volunteer Fire Department remain on the scene.
Officials said that a shelter-in-place has been ordered for residents north of US-90 and east of SH-99. At this time, officials are warning residents to stay indoors and turn off their A/C units.
It is unclear how the fire began.
