Sharon Osbourne shared the loss of her 14-year-old dog Elvis on Sunday, months after Ozzy’s passing.
WASHINGTON — Months after Ozzy Osbourne’s death, wife Sharon Osbourne announced their 14-year-old dog Elvis died.
She posted to her Instagram Sunday with the news and four pictures featuring herself, her late husband and Elvis.
“I can’t believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week. He gave me 14 precious years,” she wrote. “He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy!”
Elvis was a small Siberian Husky and one of many furry friends part of the Osbourne family.
“Our guardian angel has left us. Elvis did not leave my side since my dad passed,” daughter Kelly Osbourne wrote on social media. “He helped get me through the darkest moment of my life. I keep trying to find a positive in all of this and the only thing I can come up with is that maybe my dad needed him.”
She called him “one of a kind” and a treasure.
Ozzy Osbourne previously mentioned his love of dogs on “The Madhouse Chronicles” podcast with friend Billy Morrison.
“My house always has to have a little guy in there, a little dog in there,” Ozzy Osbourne said in a clip shared July 12, 2024. “Someone once told me ‘a house without a dog is like a garden without flowers’ and that’s so (expletive) true.”
Sharon Osbourne turned 73 on Oct. 9, just over a week before she broke the sad news about her most recent loss.
Her husband died July 22 and the couple had been married for more than 40 years.
According to the reports, Osbourne died of “(a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) Acute myocardial infarction (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).”
Osbourne passed away at age 76, surrounded by loved ones, according to a family statement shared to his official Instagram account at the time.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the post read. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
