Sewer lining replacement project in Pittsfield to begin Monday

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Pittsfield’s Department of Public Services and Utilities announced that a sewer lining replacement project will begin on Monday.

The project involves lining aging sewer pipes to prevent future breaks and will take place during weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The work is expected to have minimal impact on residential sewer lines.

The sewer lining replacement will occur in several locations over the course of two weeks. On September 29th, work will begin on Wood Avenue. From September 30th to October 6th, the project will focus on West Street, covering the area from 974 West Street to 1265 West Street.

On October 7th, the project will move to Churchill Street, from West Street to 54 Churchill Street, as well as Fort Hill Avenue. Bryant Street and Lebanon Avenue are scheduled for October 8th, followed by Kittredge Road and Meadowview Drive on October 9th.

The final day of the project, October 10th, will see work on Abby Road.
