All the quakes recorded a depth of about 6.2 miles and no injuries were reported. A total of 19 people reported feeling them; 17 of those reports came from the 5.7 earthquake.

Earthquakes in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon coast are common. The USGS says a magnitude 5.7 earthquake is considered a “moderate” earthquake. According to the USGS, “each whole number increase in magnitude represents a tenfold increase in measured amplitude as measured on a seismogram.”
