Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldana are both getting Oscar buzz for their performances in the new Netflix movie Emilia Perez!
The actresses walked the red carpet with co-stars Karla Sofia Gascon and Adriana Paz at the film’s New York Film Festival premiere on Monday (September 30) in New York City.
They were joined by castmates Edgar Ramirez and Mark Ivanir, as well as the film’s director and co-writer Jacques Audiard.
The Spanish-language musical was the big winner at the Cannes Film Festival back in May, winning the Jury Prize and an award for Best Actress, shared by Karla, Zoe, and Selena.
The Hollywood Reporter believes that the movie will earn Oscar nominations for Best Picture, Best Director for Jacques, Best Actress for Karla, Best Supporting Actress for Zoe and possibly Selena, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature. Watch the trailer now ahead of the film’s Netflix debut on November 13.
