On the final day of the 2026 World Cup, over a thousand people gathered at the Miami Beach Bandshell to watch defending champion Argentina, led by Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi, face off against Spain, the winner of the 2010 World Cup.
Argentine fans vastly outnumbered Spanish fans at the watch party, where they witnessed Spain defeat Argentina 1-0 in extra time at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey. It was the culmination of a historic World Cup hosted across the U.S., Mexico and Canada, including seven matches at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
