Schumer’s Shutdown: Democrats Choose Illegals Over Military Paychecks – KXL

I want to be the first to wish all of you a Happy Schumer Shutdown Day!
Remember Chuck Schumer, the Democrat who in the 90s railed in favor of cutting benefits for illegals.

Let’s be blunt about why our federal government is shut down this morning.
Democrats put paying for illegal alien health care in front of paychecks for our military and border patrol.

There was a time when familiar names in the Democrat Party called for cutting off freebies for illegals.
A bipartisan government funding bill passed the House and got some Democrat support in the Senate but fell short last night.

Democrats demand $1.5 trillion in additional money for the craziest things:
Health insurance benefits for illegals, NPR and PBS, climate change, DEI, and Obamacare subsidies.

Schumer’s goal is to repeal all of the spending reforms in the Big Beautiful Tax Law (Medicaid work requirements, anti-fraud protections, limiting benefits for illegal aliens, etc.) and extend COVID-emergency supersized subsidies to health insurance companies. It’s about a $1.5 trillion spending hole Schumer wants to add to the debt. Federal spending on health care is what is already massively driving up our debt.

You really have to wonder, when Northwest Senators Merkley, Wyden, Murray, and Cantwell vote AGAINST funding the government and IN FAVOR of funding illegals, who exactly do they think they’re representing?

I expect voters will remember this nonsense 13 months from now.
