Baseball with a twist is coming to Chapel Hill as the
Savannah Bananas bring their lively brand of banana ball to town.
In a post on X, the viral exhibition team announced they are
set to take on the Texas Tailgaters in Kenan Stadium on April 11 and 12.
The Georgia-based team is not unfamiliar with North
Carolina. The team played at the Durham
Bulls Athletic Park in 2024 during their Banana Ball World Tour when they
took on their rivals, the Party Animals.
That same year, the team also partnered
with Miracle League of the Triangle during the tour.
Fans interested in attending the game can join the online ticket lottery list. The list is
open now until Oct. 31.
Officials said joining the lottery list does not guarantee
the chance to buy tickets. Officials will hold a random drawing before the
event to determine who will receive the opportunity to purchase tickets.
