Barron Trump might prefer living a private life, but public curiosity about him remains high.
Amid reports of a distant relationship with his older half-siblings, new claims have emerged about the First Son’s upbringing. Emily Weis, a TikTok creator who’s friends with Melania Trump’s former assistant, recently shared stories about Barron’s alleged “sad and lonely” childhood.
Weis explained that her sister’s best friend served as Melania’s assistant during President Donald Trump’s first term as POTUS and once arranged a private tour of the White House for Weis and others. During the tour, Weis learned that Barron often spent time on the lawn directly outside the Oval Office window.
“Mostly, he plays Fortnite, goes to school, and then he’ll go out in this grassy area and tap around a soccer ball, or just do sports,” Weis remembered Melania’s ex-assistant telling her. “He’s always trying to get his dad’s attention out there.”
The former assistant described Trump as “super busy” and rarely available to spend time with his youngest son. This left Barron often doing anything and everything he could to get his famous father’s attention. “He’ll go tap on the window of the Oval Office and try to get him to come outside and spend time with him. She was like, ‘It’s actually really sad. He’s kind of a sad kid,’” Weis recalled.
Melania’s ex-assistant also told Weis that Barron’s always had a “really sad vibe,” noting, “Half of the country hates him because of who his father is; his mom’s not around a lot. … They both have very busy schedules that are very separate from one another, and they don’t make a lot of time for family time.”
She went on to describe Barron as “really sad, and depressed and lonely.” Weis also remembered Melania’s former employee mentioning that Barron “never had any kids or other friends come to visit or play with him.” Instead, he was “basically ignored and kind of taken care of by one or two guys who managed his schedule and, I guess, essentially babysat him for four years.”
Weis further alleged that Melania was the “only parent who would even sometimes make time” for Barron and claimed that Barron “doesn’t have a relationship” with Trump.
”Until [Barron] became politically useful for him,” Weis continued. “Typical narcissistic behavior.”
