As Alabama prepared for Saturday’s showdown with Texas A&M, the Crimson Tide got their 2025 season started in a big way when the No. 44 player in the class, Ryan Williams, announced his commitment.

The in-state, Saraland (Ala.) product was part of Alabama’s massive visitor list on Saturday for their much-anticipated SEC class with the Aggies.

“First off, I’d like to thank God for even allowing me to be in the position I’m in today. Without him, this would have never happened,” Williams noted in his Twitter commit announcement. “I would also like to thank all of my coaches up to this point for helping me not only become a better football player, but a better man. I would also like to thank my trainer (my Dad) for never giving up on me through this long process. And lastly, I would like to thank my family for understanding the sacrifices it takes for me to be where I want to be and with that being said…ROLL TIDE.”

The rising sophomore chose the Crimson Tide over other notable offers that included Auburn, Michigan, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida State, Arkansas, and others.

Through his first seven games this season, the four-star had recorded 38 catches for 712 yards 13 touchdowns while averaging 101.7 yards per game.
